As a child of immigrant
parents and the first in her family to attend university, Tricia understands first-hand
the transformational power of education. She has spent her career working to ensure
that future generations experience the same opportunities she did.
Tricia King is
Vice President Global Engagement for CASE, a global NGO engaged in the business
of advancing education to transform lives and society. She works to build the resilience
and sustainability of university leadership teams in Africa, Latin America, Asia
Pacific, Australia and Europe.
Before CASE Tricia
spent eleven years on the senior leadership team of Birkbeck, a unique, world class,
research-intensive college of the University of London. As Pro-Vice-Master for Strategic
Engagement she helped create new strategic, connected, conceptual approaches that
allowed Birkbeck to survive and thrive in some very hard times. She worked closely
and effectively with successive government ministers and civil servants to advocate
for Birkbeck and successfully influence government policy. She helped create bridges
with London corporate and business organisations.
Tricia played rugby
for England and Great Britain and was the first ever Women’s Rugby Football Union
press officer. She recently became a Fellow of Birkbeck.
Wouldn't it be a good idea to create a course?
