Street Smart Practice: Framing the Meeting

Framing the Meeting

This practice will be of use for a lot of senior directors to use the meeting time wisely

by Andrew Lightheart

Andrew Lightheart works as a coach and consultant with inquiring leaders and organisations who want to grow inclusive, agile cultures. A long-term meditator, he is fascinated by the extent to which we can live what Parker Palmer calls an “undivided life” and bring as much of our true selves to our work as possible.
He is a total group dynamics nerd and loves little more than to help a group think and do better. He particularly enjoys supporting an organisation in changing their “shape” over an extended period of time as the company culture uncle!
Andrew is also a founding member of Tikbox, a project aimed at disrupting the business-as-usual conversation about “diversity” so that it becomes more overt about equity and justice around race, gender, ability and sexuality. He is queer and gender non-binary, and he always tries to be aware of how social power differences play out in organisational life.
Andrew is proudly based at the Impact Hub Birmingham in the UK and is committed to making his city a fairer place for all. He suspects there might be a future where he does some research into how the shift from independent to interdependent leadership happens, as he thinks that might be a key leverage point in the coming decades.
