Dana Carman is an expert in human and organisational transformation. Since 1985 Dana has worked as a senior advisor, consultant and executive coach to leaders on visionary organisations across five continents. His clients include multinationals, small and mid-sized market leaders, governments, and NGOs that are committed to making a significant impact nationally, regionally and globally.
For well over two decades Dana has brought an Integral Whole Systems Approach to complex organisational change. His clients typically engage him when the cost of not succeeding with a key strategy or initiative is unacceptable. Dana’s footprint is an organisation that is producing results at a new level, accompanied by a culture of greater agility, resilience and trust.
Dana is certified in organisational assessments and approaches, including the Leadership Circle 360 and Leadership Circle Collective Leadership Certification, the Global Leadership Profile, Holocracy, Overcoming your Immunity to Change, and Polarity Management. He utilises these and other approaches as appropriate to each client’s unique situation.
Hilary is a scholar-practitioner focused on the human and organisational dimensions of creating healthy communities. A professor of organisation studies since 1998 (Case Western, USC and OHSU), today she is editor-in-chief of Action Research Journal (Sage). Hilary was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland and educated at Trinity College before moving on to Divinity Schools at Harvard and the University of Chicago. Her PhD work at Boston College focussed on organisational change and transformation toward a more sustainable world. Author of numerous journal articles and the editor of the popular series of Handbooks of Action Research, her latest books include Eros/Power: Love in the Spirit of Inquiry (Integral Publishers, 2016, with Bill Torbert) and Cooking with Action Research (2017, with AR+ Associates).
Hilary is the convener and managing director (“hubstress”) of AR+, a global virtual community for participatory action researchers “accomplishing more good together.” AR+ convenes practice/inquiry “co-labs” in education, healthcare, development, relational action inquiry, leadership and organising. She enjoys formal affiliation with the Institute for Development Studies (IDS), Business School Lausanne (BSL) and California Institute for Integral Studies (CIIS), and was named 2018 Jubilee Professor at Chalmers Institute of Technology, Sweden. In addition to her work as a practitioner-‐‑scholar, Hilary is a member of the teaching circle at the Zen Center of Portland.
